Newsletter and Journal

Right from the start, it was intended to produce an annual publication. The first Newsletter appeared in October 1971. A crisis arose in the early 1980s after which the Newsletter was re-launched as the SMC Journal in 1986. The contents have always included reports of SMC activities and contributed articles. Book reviews are a more recent addition. Since Journal 23 in 1993, the page size has been A4. There is now an Editorial Board whose members gather material for the Journal and assist in its production with the aid of modern technology.
