Daniel Wolf-Root

Daniel Wolf-Root has nearly twenty years’ experience teaching mathematics in secondary schools. He has taught in both the USA and Scotland, in state and private schools, and developed advanced summer courses for primary students. Daniel has been active in Math(s) Clubs, the Bay Area Mathletes and Berkeley Math Circle. He has been particularly focused  on Equalities issues in mathematics, winning an AP STEM Access Program award for Calculus in the US, starting an International Club at Govan High School and an LGBTQ+ Club at Hutchesons’ Grammar School, and working with Feminist, Anti-Racist, Diversity and LGBTQ+ Clubs throughout his career. He has also won awards for distinguished teaching from Yale University and the University of Chicago. For the past seven years he has taught mathematics and statistics at Hutchesons’ Grammar School.
